Welcome to the interactive inclusive development database

This new database created by the World Bank and Leonard Cheshire Disability provides information on government projects that aim to include people with disabilities in mainstream education, health and rehabilitation, and livelihoods programmes. With funding from the Japanese government through the World Bank, this database is the first of its kind.

Information has been compiled from projects in Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific. In addition to project details, information includes the legal environment and policy framework for disabled people and contact details of government officials in charge of these projects. Users may want to contact them directly for further information on particular projects. It is our hope that the database will promote communication and collaboration among the international disability community and also between governments. We also hope that the database will help further development effectiveness and mutual accountability of governments in implementing the CRPD.

Users can browse project information by thematic area or country by using the navigation bar across the top of this page. If you would like to register a new project on the database please contact us and we will send you a username and password so that you can fill in an online questionnaire.

If you encounter any difficulties, please click on ‘FAQ’ or contact us.
